Consideration of Lease of the Blackwater River Park Property

Bids from five (5) hunt clubs desiring to hunt on the Blackwater River Park Property have been received and reviewed.  The Board may wish to authorize staff to move forward with execution of lease agreements with the high bidders for each of the respective sections of the property.

The apparent high bidders were:

• Bacons Castle Hunt Club - Northern Tract
• Bent Barrel Hunt Club - Southern Tract

The Board is required to hold a public hearing prior to leasing the property.

Acceptance of the bids will increase revenues to the FY2019-20 General Fund.

After the public hearing, authorize execution of lease agreements with the high bidders for each of the respective sections of the Blackwater River Park property.
